STROICOM In front of the regular session on May 28 workers from Stroycom, the chairman of the Municipal Council Mustafa Dzhambaz announced that this week he will call an extraordinary session on the fate of the municipal firm. One legal opinion has already been received, and a second one is expected. On Tuesday, June 1, the chairmen of the political groups in the local parliament will discuss the topic, and there will be a session by the end of the week. Leaving the hall, the workers, who have been without salaries for months, expressed doubts that "we will be blindfolded again".



PARKS The municipal council gave consent for the municipality to issue a promissory note in favor of the Ministry of Regional Development. The procedure is in connection with an advance payment from MRDPW to the municipality under the project for the improvement of the parks in Velingrad.

SCHOOLS The municipality is preparing a project for the implementation of energy efficiency measures in schools and kindergartens. By its decision, the Municipal Council declares that for a period of at least 5 years the purpose of the buildings of OU "Hr. Botev", Kindergarten "Slanchice", Kindergarten "Radost", Kindergarten "Edelweiss" in Velingrad, Kindergarten "Mir" Sarnitsa, Secondary School "M. Draginov” in Draginovo, Secondary School “Hr. Smirnenski" in St. Petka, schools in Pashovo and Krastava, which are included in the project.

COMPLEX The final evaluation of the project to create a cultural and historical complex "Traditions of Chepin crafts", which was conceived as a Velingrad version of "Etara" and will be located in the area of the exit from Chepino to Sarnitsa. The municipal council approved a decision that the municipality will provide 15% of the total cost of the project, that the site will not change for at least 5 years after the completion of the project and will not be given for management to individuals or legal entities.

TOILET The city toilet in the center of Ludgene will be rented out. The municipality will announce a competition and the initial monthly rental price is 78 leva.

After debates, the Municipal Council refused the request of Sunny Holidays Ltd. - Plovdiv to amend the plan for regulation in the area of the former Athletic Stadium. The company wants the assignment "For sports and recreation center" to change to "For public service" and "For hotel, SPA services, swimming pool, trade, public services and recreation" by offering as a donation to finance the strengthening of the intersection of ul. "Evl. Georgiev" and "T. Staykov” with retaining walls and to strengthen part of the fallen pavement along ul. ‘L. Dimitrova". 13 councillors supported the request, but 11 rejected it and the decision was not adopted.

By 13 votes in favour and 11 abstentions, an increase in the capital expenditure program by BGN 17,700 was not accepted with funds from over-execution of own revenues. The amount was intended for the reconstruction of a water supply network in Sarnitsa.

BTC BTC offered the municipality of Velingrad as a co-owner to purchase common real estate in Sarnitsa for a total amount of 22,000 euros. The councillors decided that the municipality did not have the necessary funds and refused the purchase of co-ownership.

The proposal to rent for 5 years 4 premises in the basement floor of the Municipal Children's Complex was refused. The application was from Flex 04 Association Sofia, but the Education Commission announced that the premises are needed for the OCD and there is a project for their use.
