MEMORY The session on September 30 started with a minute silence on the occasion of the death of Tsvetan Golomeev - a graduate of the Velingrad swimming school, multiple state champion in swimming, winner of medals from European championships, participant in the Olympics. The proposal to honor his memory was made by the BSP group.



Honorary Mustafa (Manyu) Sharkov and Gerasim Popov to be posthumously awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Velingrad, the municipal councilors decided with full unanimity. The proposal for the two created a friendship "Rodina" in Chepinsko and religious leaders in Draginovo and Velingrad was of the current leadership of the local friendship "Rodina" and the Society for the Protection of the Rhodopes. It was adopted the idea that the solemn session for awarding the titles to be held on November 1, as M. Sharkov and G. Popov are among the prominent national leaders in our region.

MUSEUM The Municipal Council updates the fees collected by the Historical Museum. The entrance fee will be 2 levs for citizens and 1 levs for students and pensioners, and visits on Thursday will be free of charge. 4 leva will be paid for a talk in Bulgarian and 6 leva - in a foreign language. 5 leva are the fees for preparing a historical reference, for using the museum's photo fund and for photocopying and scanning documents from the fund. The highest are the fees for shooting objects for commercial purposes, ranging from 30 to 1000 leva depending on the subject and duration.

SCHOOLS On September 30, the councilors became acquainted with the readiness of schools and kindergartens for the already started new school year. In addition, the existence of another undersized class in the school in Graevo was approved.

FLAG With full unanimity was supported the proposal for the municipality of Velingrad to conclude a credit agreement with the Fund for Local Government Bodies in Bulgaria - FLAG EAD. The requested amount of debt is 328,482 leva to co-finance the project for strengthening landslides. The repayment period is 18 months.

ANALYSIS The local parliament gave consent for the municipality to apply under the grant procedure with the project " Sewerage and Wastewater Treatment Plant of Velingrad" of the Operational Program "Environment". The mayor of the municipality is entitled to start a procedure for obtaining credit from a bank or other financial institution, including FLAG, to finance the costs if the project is won.

Street Street in kv. Ludgene will now be named "Gerasim Popov". It is located behind the Bureau of Labor and is parallel to "Kiselets", but until now it has not been named and the newly built tourist sites there had no administrative address.

The GAS councillors voted the plan-scheme for gas supply of Velingrad, made by Citigaz Bulgaria. The mayor of the municipality is to carry out the legal procedures for its adoption.

COMPETITIONS The municipality will announce a competition for the rental of the roller in the district. Chepino, as the term of use of the site is tied to the ethnographic museum project, which is awaiting approval for funding. Competition procedures were also opened for the sale of municipal plot of Ablanitsa and rental of sites and spots in Draginovo, Sarnitsa, Pobit Kamak.
