The report on the work done by the Municipal Council in the first six months of the term was adopted. In the document prepared by the current Chairman Boris Golomehov, the results of the 11 sessions and the more than 320 decisions taken were taken. Separately, the councillors also voted on a report on the implementation of the decisions.

REVENUE The municipality presented a summary report on the cash performance of local revenues in the first half of the year. The collection of local taxes and other income is within the usual range. The councillors again raised the issue of more effective collection of the resort fee. The chief accountant of the municipality Hristo Savov proposed that the Municipal Council should turn to the National Association of Municipalities for a legal change so that the municipality could exercise stricter control. Mayor Ivan Lebanov supported the old proposal for a board on which to publish which hotel what resort fee he paid each month.

The councilors adopted with 22 votes "for" the balance sheet and the report of "Athletic" AD. It was decided to hold an extraordinary session in September for all commercial companies with municipal participation.

At the proposal of Dr. Zheko Cheshmedzhiev from GERB, an Ordinance for organizing and conducting public discussions in the municipality of Velingrad was adopted. Its purpose is to raise citizens' awareness, but the public discussions themselves will have no legal consequences.

"The Palace" Ltd. received permission to build a new building in the northern part of its plot. The maximum floor area of the building is 5 floors, the density of building up to 60%.

GARDENS 6000 leva were voted for the kindergartens "Radost" and "Children's Paradise". With the money will be purchased kitchen stoves that meet the needs of children's institutions and the requirements of RIOKOZ and RSPAB. 5000 leva for urgent repairs was received by Kindergarten "Spring" in Draginovo.

CENTERS In the canteen of the old administrative building of the municipality from September 1 this year. The Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration will work. Some time ago, the Municipal Council gave consent for the municipal space to be used when winning the project. The future center will have a capacity of 40 clients and 8 staff, with state funding. Day care centers for old people will be revealed to the three retirement clubs in Ledgene, Chepino and Kamenica. They will also have a capacity of 40 customers and a staff of 4 people and are funded by the state.

The LAG did not accept the proposal for Sarnitsa Town Hall to participate jointly with the municipalities of Dospat and Borino in the creation of a Local Initiative Group (LAG) under the LEADER Rural Development Programme. Most councillors expressed doubts that the separation of the city hall and its participation through a private firm carries risks. The idea only supported the DPS group.

ASSESSMENTS Several land valuations were adopted in plots where the municipality is co-owner and liquidation of the co-ownership is sought. According to the licensed appraiser, the price per sq.m. land of bul. "Unification" and in the area of the Stadium is 60-70 euros.

The town hall of Sarnitsa will be twinned with the town hall of Gaziemir, municipality of Izmir. The connection between the two cities was secured during the visit of the folk composition of Sarnitsa in Gaziemir. Future cooperation will be in the fields of culture and economy.

DAIMOS With 17 votes "abstained" the councillors did not accept the request of "Daimos" Ltd. Rakitovo to run an optical cable for cable TV on a route from Velingrad to Draginovo. At first they did not agree to the cable being airborne, now they have rejected the idea of it being underground.

BILLBOARD Electronic billboard will appear on the central square in Velingrad, next to the newly built stage. A scheme for placing the facility was adopted.

"Elbrus Holiday" was given the right to dig for a water main for hot mineral water. The councillors voted with an explicit condition that digging would begin after the end of the summer season.

PROTECTED RESIDENTIAL The municipality will submit a project under the PHARE program in order to make a complete renovation of the barracks of the former kindergarten to "Tototo" in the district. Chepino. The idea is that after the renovation the premises will be used as a protected dwelling for those in need. The previous mayor's office held a competition for selection of a company-contractor of the protected dwelling, for which a municipal plot was designated next to the park of Velyova banya. The procedure is full of violations, the prosecution has been approached and is likely to go to trial. Therefore, at the July session, the old decision was amended and a protected dwelling will be made not next to Velyova Banya, but in the barracks in Chepino.
