CAPACITY The municipal council revotes two decisions from the previous session, returned as unlawful by the district governor Dr. D. Baksanov. The councillors revoked the issued building permit in green area and corrected their mistakes in a decision to liquidate co-ownership. Both decisions are for Yundola properties.



A committee of municipal councilors was elected to accept applications and consider proposals for 16 jurors for District Court - Velingrad and 4 for District Court - Pazardzhik. The members of the committee are from the seven political groups: Lazar Belev, Toma Pachalov, Ali Marekov, Snezhana Veleva, Boryana Petricheva, Vaska Kolchagova and Ventsislav Elichin.

PROTECTED By decisions of the Municipal Council another school was granted the status of protected. The list now includes OU "Georgi Rakovski" in the village of Medeni Polyani.

"VELINA" was allocated 4226 leva for the maintenance of the protected home for disabled people "Velina" in December 2009. Since 2010. The social service, revealed under the PHARE Program, will become a state delegated activity.

"ELA" The Municipal Council confirmed the intention to apply for project "Beautiful Bulgaria" in 2010. A renovation of the Home for Elderly People "Ella" worth 175 250 leva is envisaged, and the community will participate with 35 050 leva.

DEPO The councilors agreed the municipality to prepare a proposal to the Ministry of Environment for the construction of a system for treatment of municipal solid waste and composting of "green" waste. This will be the first stage of the creation of a heavy-duty municipal waste loading station.

Amendments to the Rules of Organization and Activities of the Advisory Council on Tourism, which has 16 members - equal number of representatives of the local administration and the tourism business, were adopted. The Council will propose an annual programme to spend the funds on tourist fees. The OA reported that compared to 2008. in 2009. The collection rate is lower: 169 302 leva have been received from a tourist tax in the treasury until September 2009. including, and for 2008. revenues were 219,400 levs.

The municipality will announce a competition for renting a room with 104 sq.m built-up area of ul. "Al. Stamboliyski" with a starting monthly price of 440 BGN without VAT. The premises, which until now were used by the National Center for Social Rehabilitation, are again designated for social activity.

"RADOST" Kindergarten "Radost" received for free use for 10 years the municipal building in the yard, which was the Club of the Disabled. From now on, the premises will be used as a children's facility.

In a new way will be regulated the intersection in front of the bar "Vladi" on Blvd. "Unification". The pedestrian path at the intersection with ul. "St. Sv. Cyril and Methodius" will be removed, and the sign "Crossing a road with priority" will be replaced with "Stop". The "Island" marking will also be removed, and parking spaces will be allocated in its place. The changes are according to the RUMVR's prescription to ensure the safety of pedestrians at the neuralgic intersection.
