RULES The councillors made changes to the Rules of Procedure of the Municipal Council concerning the status of the vice-presidents. The proposal to hold the session on a day set by the Bureau of Operations was not accepted. It remains the current practice to have a session every last Thursday of the month, which is more convenient for both the administration and the citizens.

The municipality of Velingrad cancelled the collection under Art. 11 of the Ordinance on commercial activity fee for issuance of a certificate for registration of a commercial site. This was done at the insistence of the Ministry of State Administration, which described this type of registration regime as illegal.

SCOTTLAND Regional Development Agency/CBI - Velingrad and the municipality will seek partnership with two municipalities in Scotland - Edinburgh and Midlothian. The aim is a general participation in a procedure for granting financial assistance under Operational Program "Regional Development".

A room in the Youth House in Pashovo will be given through a competition for tailoring workshop in which 25 jobs will be created. The councillors wanted a higher rent price, but after much controversy they failed to vote it. A competition will also be announced for the sale of a municipal plot in the village of Albanitsa.

RESTAURANT The session agreed to restore the massive one-storey building of Chevermeto restaurant to the Central beach. The new tenant is Rodopi Holidays with managers Dimitar Gagov and Angel Tonev. In the case of authorized roof repairs, cracks have appeared in the bearing walls during the summer and the consent of the municipality is required to issue a building permit, as the building is in a plot of public municipal property. The building will be new, but on the same area of 357 square meters, the architect explained. It became clear that the municipality did not receive rent, as in the 1980s the then restaurant was built with TSO, although there were no documents found for payment of the TSO in question. 21 councillors supported the request to restore the restaurant.
