GAS "City Gas Bulgaria" made a presentation to the Municipal Council with the idea to get permission to start investment studies for gasification of Velingrad. The company maintains the lowest gas prices in the country and does not work under the scheme for establishing joint companies with municipalities, but relies on 100% independent investments.


CAPITAL EXPENDITURE The majority postponed the vote on the 2008 Capital Expenditure Programme update. WATER Plovdiv "Tony K" Ltd. received a permit for water transfer of mineral water under an existing municipal water supply. The company is the owner of the newly built building on the site of the former rest station of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party in the quarter. Chepino. The Ministry of Environment and Water has issued a permit for use of mineral voza with a flow rate of 0.9 liters per second from the deposit of the locality "Velingrad - Chepino".

The councilors decided the municipality to explore the possibilities of building a kindergarten in another suitable place. The municipality will pay a monthly rent of 180 leva and for the use of the floor where the kindergarten in Alendarovo is housed.

BILLBOARDS The majority postponed the decision to place a number of billboards on the Market from the street. "Patriarch Euthymius" on the grounds that this will reduce revenue and traders will not agree. The appointments of people under the program in the individual kmests will be made by the mayor of the municipality. Local mayors are not employers, but appointments are agreed with them as well.

At the request of the Society for the Protection of the Rhodopes, the Municipal Council gave its consent for the formation of a plot "For a Park of the National Enlighteners". The idea is in such a park to be turned the place of st. "Hiddenica" in kv. Kamenitsa, where a monument of the first class school is currently being erected.

HELP The councillors voted to allocate 1000 leva for building materials and 1000 leva for medicines of Mustafa Karaasanov from Draginovo. 1000 leva for medicines will also receive Mehmed Tahir from Birkovo.
JIP The Municipal Enterprise "Sports Properties and Markets" will receive a UAZ SUV, which will be used by the employees of the blue zone. The initial request was for the municipality to transfer to the "SIP" car "Skoda", but the councilors decided that the jeep was better suited for carrying the brackets for improperly parked vehicles.

On a proposal from the President M. Dzhambaz was allocated the amount of BGN 60,000 for the preparation of a working project for the pipeline "Dzhaferica" from Yundola to St. Petka and Pashovo. The councilors agreed that the municipality should apply with a project for financing of sewerage in the village of Kandyovo as well.
