Two municipal companies presented their annual financial statements for 2006. VKTV ended the year with equal revenues and costs, continuing 3 lawsuits under the contract for joint activity with EVKK with claims totaling about BGN 90,000. The municipal hospital reported 3,233,280 revenues, 3,287,975 expenses and 80,000 lev liabilities as of 31.12.2006. The capital of the hospital remains at 579 000 leva. In the Committee on Economics, Dr. Tsvetan Dafov commented on why, despite his good financial condition, the hospital wants to merge with the medical institution of Dr. Tikov. According to him, such a monopoly will be at the expense of both doctors and patients.

TRAFFOPOSTS In this third consecutive vote for the construction of two transformer stations in Ludgene and Chepino, the councilors said unanimously "for". The cost of municipal parcels will be determined by a licensed appraiser and will be accepted at a subsequent session. Councillors will set a deadline by which "EVN" must have built the facilities.

The contract is for a period of 5 years plus the possibility of an extension by another 5 years.

REPLACE For the second time, the councillors rejected Viktor Dovkov's request to replace his own plot of 626 sq.m. in Sarnitsa for a plot of private municipal property of 508 sq.m. in Velingrad. 14 councillors were for the replacement, the rest abstained.

The councillors voted early to terminate the contract with ET "Techniks-Peter Chechev" who uses a municipal space for rent in the building of the former "V. Goranov". The premise will be used to build an office of "Social Assistance" for people with disabilities, as it is difficult for them to get to the third floor of the building.

It was decided that the use of the wood from the municipal forest in the Brezi locality will be implemented under the Public Procurement Act. The harvested wood will be sold from a warehouse through an apparent auction.

PLELIN The councilors agreed Paris Nikolov to use 4105 sq.m. for a fee. agricultural land in the Bosak area for building an apiary. The period of use is 3 years.

DIRECTION For the second time in a row, the councilors rejected Mayor Dulev's proposal to establish a new European Structural Funds Directorate in the municipal administration. Deputy Mayor M. Arsov made numerous arguments in support of the request, but only 12 advisers supported it. Mayor St. Dulev announced that he would build the directorate without the consent of the local parliament.

KABEL "Daimos" Ltd. - Rakitovo was given the right to pass an optical cabev from the beginning of Velingrad along ul. "Han Asparuh" to ul. "Patriarch Euthymius". The company has a license for telecommunications and promises quality telephone and internet connection.

The Chepino Motor Transport requested that the taxi stand be moved from the entrance of their bus station in the area of the railway station. By 12 to 16 votes, the councillors disagreed with the request and the taxi stand remained in front of the bus station.
