The Councillors approved the sum of 5000 leva for representative expenses of the Mayor Stoyan Dulev. The initial amount was 3000 leva, but the increase is because of the upcoming jubilees of community centers and the expected visit of a delegation from China with a desire for twinning with Velingrad.

The already voted 3000 leva for the manufacture of plaster cast for the monument of Nikolay Ghiaurov will be taken not from the money left under the project "Beautiful Bulgaria", but from the Fund "Privatization". The opera singer's monument is due to open in March 2006. in the garden opposite his house in Velingrad. The plaster cast, made by the famous sculptor Vladimir Ginovsky, will cost 10,000 leva. Separately, the municipality will pay for the casting of the bronze monument, and the possibility of co-financing from the district fund "Culture" will be sought.

COMPETITIONS The municipality will announce a re-contest for the newly built shop on the Market, for which until now a court procedure was being conducted. The condition is that the store be for sale of bread and bakery products. A competition will also be held for the pavilion for snacks in the yard of Secondary School "V. Levski".

SKAT 18,400 leva will be redirected to develop projects to strengthen the ski under the Elbrus Hotel. For years, the landslide was a constant danger, to which the August floods added a serious road collapse.

The councilors did not accept the proposal to buy air conditioners for heating the building in Kamenitsa, which was designated as a Day Center for Children with Disabilities. They voted the requested funds, but an analysis will be made whether it is more efficient to repair the heating, to make a new one or to find another option. A meeting with the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy Vanya Hristova will also be sought to clarify how the municipality and the ministry will partner in the financing of the Day Care Centre.

CONCESSION The Municipal Council assigned Mayor Dulev to offer the parameters of a concession, which will be declared a parking lot in front of the Light Hotel. Currently, the owners of the hotel use 398 sq.m. municipal land for parking, but it is possible to give a larger plot of land on concession.

The Regional Prosecutor's Office - Velingrad received for free use for the next 5 years premises in the municipal building of the former enterprise "V. Goranov". They'll also have the new probation department. As of 1 November 2005. the premises are exempt from the District Court - Velingrad.

SCHOOLS The councillors voted 5000 leva to be used for finishing the renovation of the toilets in OU "N. Rilsky". 3640 leva were voted for a retaining wall of the school in Graevo with the stipulation that the amount will be paid from the capital expenditures for 2006.
