Ordinance on registration, management and counterl of dogs on the territory of the Municipality of Velingrad was adopted. It regulates the order and requirements for registration, management and control of dogs on the territory of the municipality. Dog owners bear administrative and penal responsibility for the actions of the dogs they manage and in cases of inhumane treatment and cruelty to them.

AIR Councillors adopted Annual Report 2007. on the implementation of the measures set out in the municipal program for management of the purity of ambient air. All measurements taken during the year indicate that the air in Velingrad is clean.

B.B.I. Cubes The municipal council determined the site of a B.B.Cub storage site that contained expired plant protection preparations. The site will be in two land properties owned by Hmela-Velingrad AD in the area "Vicina talpa".

REVENUE The municipal councilors unanimously decided that the income from rents of municipal properties located on the territory of the schools with delegated budgets should be deposited in the accounts of the educational institutions.

JASLEY As of 1 September 2008. to Kindergarten "Sunshine" a new crib group is revealed. Thus, the groups become two, and the reason is the huge demand for places in the nursery in the city.

TOGETHER The future club in the Iglika block will be used jointly by the Club of the Disabled and the organization of the blind disabled, the councilors decided.

PRICES The municipal councilors decided in connection with the use and management of the City Stadium by the municipality the price for one hour of use of the volleyball hall to cost the teams 50 BGN, and for individuals 25 BGN. For training for 1 hour at the stadium the price is 150 BGN, for a control meeting - 200 BGN.

The municipal administration cuts 10 pieces of its staff. A Directorate for Local Taxes and Fees is established under the direct subordination of the mayor of the municipality and structural unit "Revisions and Control".

ARCHAEOLOGY As there is no cultural tourism without archaeology, the Municipal Council voted 5000 leva. for mapping archaeological sites on the territory of the municipality. It will be carried out under the guidance of archaeologist Assen Salkin together with Iliya Halachev, an archaeologist at the History Museum.

KEREMIDI The municipality provided 2000 tiles to a disabled widow and her family, injured in a house fire in the village. St. Petka. Assistance to the victims was provided by Kamena and Specialized Hospitals for Rehabilitation-NK branch of Velingrad.
