The Municipality of Velingrad will participate as a local partner in the program "Bulgarian Libraries - a place for access to information and communication for everyone". The proposal to name the square "Macedonia" or the park next to Lake Kleptuza after Philip Glaveev was not accepted in connection with the 150th anniversary of the birth of the national leader and public figure. The refusal is not related to the name of the respected Philip Glaveev, after whom a street in Velingrad is named. STATUTE The councilors gave permanent urban planning status of a single-storey commercial site on ul. "Gen. Gurko", owned by Maria Yankova, for which a long court procedure has ended. MANAGEMENT The Municipality of Velingrad will apply under the project "Good Governance" under the Operational Program "Administrative Capacity". To this end, the Municipal Council approved a cooperation agreement between the municipality of Velingrad, the Greek municipality of Apolonia and the Italian Aricha.
