BEACH At the suggestion of Mayor St. Dulev municipality will conclude a contract with Alma 98 Ltd., represented by Maria Kavardzhikova, for reconstruction, modernization and joint operation of the municipal part of the mineral beach in the quarter. Chepino. The beach has not been operational since the 2005 floods. and is in serious need of repair. In June, councillors will look at a draft amendment to the regulation plan and for construction in the beach area, where there are also restituted properties.

The councilors did not accept the proposal for opening a new type of social service "Protected Home for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities". The municipality proposed for this purpose a plot of 500 sq.m. in the Velyova Banya area, but because of uncertainty about who would be a partner in the project, the councilors did not support it.

EVALUATIONS Voted were the estimates of the two plots of 58 and 30 sq.m., which the municipality will sell to the electricity company "EVN-Bulgaria" for construction of transformer posts. The licensed appraiser set prices of 5220 and 3000 leva, but the advisers raised them to 7000 and 6000 leva respectively.

The municipality deleted two pieces of stains in front of the park of Women's Bath and pavilions will no longer be placed there to provide access to the main collector of the urban sewerage network. The owners of the pavilions must dismantle them.

DONATION The municipal council took another decision on the problem of heirs Mandovi, who have been waiting for years to be compensated by the municipality for their property. The previous replacement decisions have not been implemented and now the councilors have decided to donate to the heirs a municipal store with an area of 95 sq.m. in the central city area. In addition, the municipality will also have to provide money for compensation.

CONSTRUCTION By several decisions, the Municipal Council authorized amendments to the plans for regulation by converting areas "For landscaping" into "For public service, trade and services". New buildings with shops and offices will be built in the beginning of Velingrad, in the area of the former factories "G. Dimitrov" and "V. Sotirov".

HELP The municipal council granted a cash grant of 200 leva for the treatment of a seriously ill woman from Velingrad. This is the first such case, and according to Chairman N. Kehayov will henceforth be overwhelmed by such requests.
