The majority has elected Boryana Petricheva, a municipal councilor from GERB, as a member of the committees on territorial and urban planning and on economics. Boris Golomehov from Green Bulgaria, who has been waiting for half a year for his participation in the committees on TSU and municipal property, was elected a member of two other committees - on economy and on tourism. As we announced in the previous issue, by decision of the majority Zlatko Zlatanov from Green Bulgaria was removed from the chair of the Committee on Tourism and Georgi Chinkov from BZNS was elected in his place.

TAX For 2009 the amount of the property tax will amount to 1.2 per thousand on the tax assessment for residential properties and 1.5 per thousand for non-residential properties of companies. No real estate tax will be charged with a tax assessment of up to BGN 2520. The tax can be paid in 4 equal installments within the year.

Competitions are scheduled for selection of controllers of two municipal companies - Hospital "MHAL-Velingrad" and "Stroycom". The municipal council has set requirements for holding the position and committees that will evaluate the candidates. They can submit their participation papers until 27 February 2009.

The Social Assistance Directorate will continue to use the premises in the Stroycom building free of charge for the next 3 years. In the three rooms still worked the Child Protection Department.

SELF-ACTIVITY 6000 leva from the 2009 budget of the municipality. to be granted for the 20-year anniversary of the children's and youth folklore ensemble "Zdravche-venche", the councilors have decided. With another 1000 leva will be supported ensemble "M. Draginov" - Draginovo.

INDUSTRIAL The street from the entrance of Velingrad at the Central Cemetery in the direction of Chepino (the ring road) will now officially be named "Industrial".

The majority supported the request of Alben Bakardzhiev to amend the cadastral and regulation plan of Draginovo. A street-tupik is obliterated and a new property, private municipal property, is created. A new property is formed, co-owned between the municipality and A. Bakardzhiev, with assignment "For restaurant, sports and rehabilitation center and KOO" with a total area of 5690 sq.m.

The councillors have allocated the amount of 15 840 leva to buy a recycled apparatus for hemodialysis. The money will come from the target capital spending program for 2009.
