The interim mayor Stoyan Dulev submitted to the Municipal Council a proposal to stop the operation of the Laundromat in the district. Kamenitsa to source "Vlasa". The reason for his proposal is an order of the Director of HEI - Pazardzhik Dr. Fanny Petrova and a prescription from RIEW - Pazardzhik. In a check carried out on September 13 by employees of HEI and the municipality, it was found that the flooring was broken, the walls were with undercut walls, the laundry troughs were broken and broken, the plumbing was partially built and there was no sewerage, which is why the waste water is poured directly into the Vlasa gully. The roof structure is corroded and poses a risk of collapse, and the area around the washing machine is heavily polluted: there are dead animals and household waste. After these findings, HEI - Pazardzhik issued an order to stop the operation of the washing machine.
On September 21, a check was also carried out by RIEW - Pazardzhik, to which Georgi Banev, the manager of "Terma-Vel" Ltd., filed a complaint. During the inspection, it was found that the washing machine discharged into the gully waste water containing harmful and dangerous substances. According to a 2000 ordinance. for sanitary protection zones around water sources this is prohibited, and besides it does not have the permit required under the Water Act for discharge. On this basis, the Director of RIEW Gergana Shishinyova made a prescription to the Municipality of Velingrad to cease the draining of waste water from the washing machine.
The problem was discussed in the committees of the Municipal Council and at the session the decision was voted quickly. Georgi Mihaylov said that the washing machine in Kamenitsa has a social effect and cannot be lightly closed. "Therma-Vel" has taken actions for which it has not referred the municipality, believes the chairman of the Committee on Municipal Property.
The construction group of the municipality can cope with the removal of much of the problems identified by the HEI. Therefore, a decision was adopted whereby the Municipal Council obliged the mayor of the municipality to bring the washing machine in Kamenica in compliance with the statutory requirements. For this purpose, a plan-account will be drawn up, which the councillors will approve.
