Annexes will be signed for temporary retail outlets

15.12.2001 18:25 •
At the last regular meeting of the Municipal Council for less than 3 hours decisions were made on 30 items on the agenda. The councillors decided to send a special declaration to the state institutions asking not to close the Septemvri-Yakoruda railway line.

The decision expected by many on the fate of the temporary commercial sites, whose contracts with the municipality expire at the end of the year, is a fact. The municipality will sign annexes to the leases and for use with a term until the end of 2002. This gives a new reprieve for the users of the more than 100 pavilions located on municipal land. For the pavilions around the Cultural House, the contracts will have a term until the building is repaired. A new regulation for advertising activity was adopted, which defines the requirements for placing all types of advertising and information elements such as signs, inscriptions, etc. Advisers rightly said that there was such an ordinance until now, but without any tangible economic effect from it. A tariff for advertising is also to be adopted to the ordinance. The regional development plan of the municipality was updated. The councillors also voted in the plan to conduct concession procedures for the Kleptuza shopping complex, the Central Mineral Beach and the restored municipal forests. The bulky plan outlines the transformation of the Lepenitsa cave into a tourist attraction, the creation of an Ethnographic Open-Air Museum, the development of a concept for the use of geothermal waters and a number of other events for the near and distant future. An extraordinary session on the 2002 budget will be held by the end of the year. Tempo
