On March 1, the Pazardzhik District Court (POS) was to launch the lawsuit against Tsvetan Tyufekchiev, Ilya Yurukov and Lazar Sazdov. They are charged under Art. 142, para. 4 of the Criminal Code for unlawful deprivation of liberty and inflicted beating in a particularly cruel manner on two 17-year-olds. On 3 December 2006. The three defendants kidnapped from a bus stop in Velingrad Hristo Koemdzhiev and Veselin Toshkov. The boys were taken to a structure outside the city and there were beaten with wooden pole and fists, and one of them was strangled with sesal. The reason is a large amount of cigarettes stolen from a warehouse of Tsvetan Tufekchiev, for which the men blame the underage boys.
At its first hearing, the court did not proceed with the case, as one of the defendants, Ilya Yurukov, had another case in the Plovdiv Court of Appeal, scheduled for the same date. The son of Deputy Minister of Forestry Stefan Yurukov appealed to the Court of Appeal the suspended sentence he received for shooting Severin Klashnov-Charli. On March 1, PAS closed the case and within 1 month the appellate judges will announce their decision.
