On September 21, BSP municipal councilors gave a "historic" press conference - historic because it is the first in the 3-year existence of the current Municipal Council. For the first time during this period, a group of councillors decided to announce their position on important decisions to be voted on in the session first to the media and voters.

On behalf of the BSP group of advisers, its chairman, Zavarin Marov, described the proposed procedure as a hidden privatization. BSP is not against the Beevi brothers, we respect what they did for the Stadium and congratulated them on the investments, Mr. Marov stressed. Municipal ownership passes into private hands and through substitutions such as those for Markita and Zazyovi, the same is the trend in the offered concessions such as that for the Cooperative Market, where the municipality will take rent as from one big store. At the same time, only kiosks and shops stand in the official pyrvatization plan. In most transactions, the 99% buyer is known in advance, which is not a normal scheme and leads to doubts. In the chain for reaching the final decision we do not comment on the companies, but the role of the importer - municipal administration, with a sub-question how are they negotiated in advance, Mr. Marov said. On the role of municipal councillors, he reiterated his thesis that in the current Municipal Council the grouping is not in the normal for parliamentary democracies political principle, but is in economic terms plus the direct dependence of councillors from Municipal Administration.

Asked how the BSP "absorbs" public comments that there is no opposition in this Municipal Council, Dimitar Arshinkov replied that the only opposition in this Municipal Council is the BSP. On another point of the upcoming session spoke Mikhail Alexiev, who as a representative of the BSP signed with a special opinion the contract for the use of the water transmission network between the Municipality and the water association Eurovodkommers. He welcomed the association's desire to put the Vodev Chark water pipeline into operation. Eurovodcommerce also wants to use the municipal network for mineral water, which is currently unowned. First we need to see the assessment of a licensed appraiser and then decide, Mr. Alexiev said. According to him, the contract between the Municipality and Eurovodkommers is more in favor of the association and there should be a firm schedule for the promised investments of 25 million levs and control.
The press conference was attended by the chairman of the "defence" Ivan Avramov, who reported that the OA did not give him access to official information. BSP President Toma Pachalov outlined the party's intentions in the election year to work constructively and without unnecessary confrontation in favor of the public interest. BSP's opinion on the state of education in the municipality was also presented. It evaluates the common efforts that have led to the preservation of all educational institutions and the mechanical reduction of 10% of the teachers avoided for the time being. The Socialists recommend meeting the growing need to open a second group in the nursery and the Municipality to support the desire for retraining of teachers.
