The financial result of the introduction in August 2008. The "blue zone" for parking in Velingrad is negative. The losses for the period of 20 August 2008. until 31 March 2010. are equal to 30,747 leva, as the collected revenues are 162,023 leva and the reported expenses are 192,770 leva.


The number of "blue zones" in Velingrad is 11 plus the parking lot of Kleptuza. The total number of parking spaces is 450. In order to start the activity, 18,825 leva were invested separately for road signs, 4,500 leva for brackets, 5652 leva for parking tickets and 7,500 leva for markings. The established state of the department in the municipal enterprise "Sports Properties and Markets" ("SIP") is 4 pieces for "Control Parking" and 20 pieces for security guards with salaries of 300 and 240 levs.
The data are from an EPA report, which will be considered at this week's session of the Municipal Council. It is made in quarters and shows that in the first 5 months since the start of the "blue zone" in 2008. revenues exceeded expenses by BGN 3418. Then, however, until March 2010. costs become greater than revenues. For the entire specified period, 8,786 leva were collected from fines and brackets, 22,934 leva from parking lot and 130,303 leva from fees.
The director of "SIP" Atanaska Hrischeva offers two options for improving the activity. The first option includes: new working hours of the blue zone of Blvd. "Han Asparuh" to ul. "Vincho Goranov" from 8 am to 4 pm on Sundays, expansion of parking "Cleptuza", location of taxis to the Market, purchase of "spider" and shaping of a vehicle storage site, broke the rules. The proposal in the second option is from October to April part of the blue zones to work through a kiosk sale of coupons, cutting some of the staff.
At a loss, they ended 2009. and the three municipal companies "Stroycom", "MHAL-Velingrad" and "VKTV", whose reports will also be viewed in the local parliament on April 29. The Municipal Hospital "MHAT-Velingrad" reported a loss of BGN 90,000. Stroycom, whose cleanliness activity in 2009 was taken over by "Eco Titan", has accumulated losses of 136,000 leva. For VKTV financial year 2009 ends with a loss of 21,000 leva.
All these figures, behind which are many problems, will be analyzed by the Municipal Council, and will the councilors reach working solutions - in the next issue.
