The municipal council supported the proposal made by the mayor Dr. Dafov at the insistence of the Chepinets Ski Club, chaired by Ivan Lebanov. The club wished to obtain the land on which its Yundola shacks were placed, as so far the ownership has not been cleared.
Again, an issue was put on the agenda, which is waiting for a decision for nearly 4 years - to be given for use by the ski club pastry shop "Sports Meeting" at the entrance of Veliova Banya. The aim is for skiers to have a base in Velingrad they need for the training process. Over the years, "Sports Meeting" was in the capital of the municipal enterprise "Sports Properties and Beaches", then because of dispossession it was included in the privatization program and was subsequently excluded from it. In the conditions for the upcoming competition there will be a requirement that the site is provided for activities of a ski club.
