For a week, the center of Velingrad and this summer will become a trading area. The company Bulgarian Business Forum has agreed with the municipality to hold a National Fair of Bulgarian Producers under the title "Best of Bulgaria 2005". The selected dates are from 22 to 31 July, and at this stage there are already orders with over 30 companies.
This time the organizers have chosen a new place to put the shops and stalls. A scheme for the deployment of temporary commercial sites was also prepared, approved by the chief architect T. Enev. One row of objects will be located opposite the Old Council building, and two rows of objects will be located in the section between the green areas in front of and opposite the municipality.
A similar fair Bulgarian Business Forum is held in Velingrad not for the first time. It is generally met negatively by local merchants. The reasons are that they take customers right in the short summer season and that the organizers do not keep the promise to offer Bulgarian production, but sell cheap Chinese and other goods en masse. This appeals to buyers for whom the fair is a chance to shop at low prices.
