On April 25, a regular meeting of the Municipal Council in Rakitovo was held. The councillors voted on a number of property decisions submitted by the TSU. The expected increase in the salaries of teachers and municipal administration officials was accepted. Their salaries will be raised by 5 percent. However, the councillors did not so far vote the same increase for the salaries of the three mayors of Rakitovo municipality and the two townships of Kostandovo and Dorkovo. The reason - only the mayor of Kostandovo has submitted the requested detailed financial statement of expenses. The local parliament rejected the proposal for Rakitovo Municipality to become a member of the Association of Municipalities of South Central Region "Hebar" on the grounds that they are actively members of the Association of Rhodope Municipalities. A day after the session, the chairman of the Municipal Council - Rakitovo Vihra Uteva went to a seminar on public administration in Switzerland. Ms. Uteva is a member of the Bulgarian delegation to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Europe as a representative of the National Association of Municipalities. Nevena Pavlova
