The poet Angel Pachalov returned from the United States with honors for outstanding achievements in the field of poetry, awarded to him by the International Library of Poetry. The award comes after Mr. Pachalov participated with several of his translated poems in the competition of the International Library of Poetry, which goes on the Internet. The contest has been in existence for 23 years and has now grown from an American to an international one.
After his participation, Mr. Pachalov received a diploma in which we read: "Your poetic talent and unique vision contributed to the value of this eagerly anticipated edition. We hope that this award will encourage you to develop your talent in poetic achievements throughout your life." A diploma of Angel Pachalov is awarded to publishers for outstanding achievements in poetry. His work is also included in the World Poetry Anthology, which publishes the International Library of Poetry.
Even greater is the excitement when the invitation comes for Mr. Pachalov to attend a congress and symposium of the International Association of Poets in Washington, D.C., in which artists from 50 countries are members. Angel Pachalov was designated as a delegate to read his poems and make a statement about the trends in world literature. His organizers wrote that he would be awarded a silver cup, a bronze chain and a one-year subscription to their magazine. The speech was prepared, but due to financial reasons Mr. Pachalov never managed to go to Washington... But he remains satisfied with the recognition that came so unexpectedly far from Velingrad - all the way to the United States. And the solution: the news will be first learned by the citizens and friends in Velingrad. Perhaps because no one is a prophet in his homeland, but every artist values his roots.
