On October 3, a contract was signed between the Municipality of Velingrad and the Varna company "Integral Computer Systems". The company won the announced by the municipality competition for street and park lighting of Velingrad with an area of 724 ha. In second place was ranked Sofia's Telecomplect EVR, and in third place was Shrabble Engineering - Marin Boyadzhiev, also from Sofia.

From the committee that held the competition chaired by Arch. Todor Enev reported that the Varna firm has asked for the lowest price and has made advantageous commitments for the municipality. The company promises to hire local workers, to perform at its own expense a complete replacement of the park lighting route, to take over the training of personnel and install the special management and security system in the municipality. Varna residents have given a warranty period that is 1 year longer than the other offers and are committed to the maintenance of the lighting even after the warranty period. It is especially important for the municipality that the company will light a building of public importance in the city free of charge. Most likely, the building will be on the community center in Ledgene, which after the major renovation of the facade under the project "Beautiful Bulgaria" has a real chance to shine with all its beauty and to adorn the city center. Because of the increased thefts and attacks on lighting fixtures last week, the mayor sent a letter on purpose to the Police Station of the Ministry of Interior demanding to strengthen the security in the city center and to effectively counteract the thieves and vandals.
