The Supreme Administrative Court met on February 12 on the appeal of Alexander Daskalov against the decision of the Pazardzhik District Court, which declared Fidel Beev as the legally elected mayor of the municipality of Velingrad.
You rejected Al's request. Daskalov as evidence to be presented broadcasted in the election struggle television materials and newspaper publications. These materials were the basis of lawyer Rumen Petkov's thesis that voters were manipulated by the media, but were not accepted as evidence by the Pazardzhik court either. The SAC has ruled that by law they do not collect new evidence. In this situation, the supreme judges will make the final and non-appealable decision for the elections in Velingrad based on the materials presented in the Pazardzhik District Court. It is about the testimony of 12 witnesses (six for each of the parties), given mainly on two topics: whether there were campaign campaign materials on the buses of Chepino Motor Transport in the days when the campaign was banned and whether voters in Draginovo were given the incentive to vote.
The opinion of the representative of the prosecution during the meeting of the SAC was that the complaint of Al. Daskalov is unfounded. The judges' decision is expected in the coming days.
