The evening of December 16 was solemn for Draginovo, and the hall of the community center turned out to be very small for those who had come to say happy 35th birthday to the Ensemble for Authentic Folklore "Draginovo". Winner of gold awards from the folklore festivals in Koprivshtitsa, Rozhen and Burgas, first prize from Zhivets 2002 and the highest international award that a folk ensemble could wish for - the "Golden Axe" from Zakopane, Poland. As its founder and immutable chief artistic director for 35 years Greta Kadyova says: "We have less than gold!".
Among the guests were the temporary mayor Stoyan Dulev and the deputy mayor Sonya Chavdarova, the chairmen of the community centers from Velingrad, Kostandovo and Dorkovo, and the Municipal Council was represented only by Snezhana Veleva, chairman of the Committee on Culture and Education and Asan Kepchelev. With telegrams greeted the jubilees prof. Dzhidzhev, Honorary Chairman and Senior Fellow Krum Georgiev, Chairman of the Society for Folklore. The evening ended with many gifts, flowers, congratulations and a solemn concert of the jubilees.
