The day of Velingrad July 6 (traditionally - the first meeting of July) started with a parade-defile of brass orchestras and cheerleading ensembles from Troyan, Lovech, Larnaca - Republic of Cyprus, Panagyurishte and Velingrad. The celebration had many addresses: the Troyan orchestra went to the village of Draginovo, where they were welcomed as dear guests, and they in turn greeted the people of Draginovo with a wonderful concert.

The musicians from Lovech visited the quarter. Chepino and took with them "forever the beauty of Kleptuza". Guests from Cyprus cheered the people from Kamenitsa district and visited the newly opened beach. On the square "Fountains" during the day concerts performed the orchestra at "Videlina" community center from Panagyurishte and the representative youth brass orchestra and the cheerleaders of Velingrad. The solemn concert-day was opened with the anthems of Bulgaria, Velingrad and the European Union, performed by the City Choir at ONC "Otets Paisiy" with the soloist Margarita Shalamanova and with the accompaniment of our orchestra under the conductor Dimitar Mechev. A choir from Verdi's opera Nabucco sounded in chorus and orchestra performance. Students of the class of prof. Ilka Popova Flora Turpomanova - soprano and Orlin Kamenov - tenor with her performance of "Toast" from Verdi's opera "Traviata" deserved the loud applause of the audience filled to the limit square "Fontani". In his speech, the mayor of the municipality Dr. Dafov thanked everyone who worked tirelessly over the years to have them today the Holidays of Velingrad. He expressed confidence that they will continue in the future. Among the official guests of the Holidays were the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Policy Lydia Shuleva, who in her greeting to the citizens of Velingrad and the guests of the city said: "I am honored to be together with you on the anniversary holidays of Velingrad. I am proud that my hometown did not allow a magnificent tradition to be broken despite the very difficult and difficult time in which we live". The deputies Panayot Lyakov from ODF and Georgi Pirinski from Coalition for Bulgaria, as well as municipal councilors from the city of Larnaca, the Republic of Cyprus were also among the guests of the holiday, which for officials ended with a cocktail at the Markita restaurant. After the official part, the presenters Ivanina Stefanova and Dinko Filipov gave the microphone to the star of bTV's "Sincere and Personal" Miglena Angelova. Thanks to her cooperation, the numerous audience heard the performances of Nikolina and Sevdalin Spassovi and the rockers from "Episode". The culmination of the celebration was the closing fireworks and the huge horo, which were taken by the residents of Velingrad and the guests of the city. On July 7, the holidays continued with solo concerts of youth dance formation "Buldens" from Sofia with the performance "Come on the megdana" based on motifs from stories by Elin Pelin and Chudomir and the municipal brass orchestra of the city of Larnaca-created as early as 1903.
