Within 4 days, from August 30 to September 2, our city will host an interesting football tournament for juniors born at the latest in 1988. There will be 8 teams, one from Italy and seven from Bulgaria, two of them will be the epinets-Beev and Athletic teams from Velingrad. The tournament is traditional for our country and its conduct is within the Inter-Campus program. So far it has been organized in other settlements, this summer it will be in Velingrad for the first time. The Inter-Campus program is a football initiative of the Italian Grand Inter, which aims to promote the game in many regions of the world, support children's and youth schools in various clubs and familiarize themselves with the ways of working in the school of the "Nerazzurri". In Velingrad for 5 years the coach Ivan Blagov, current mentor of the men's team of "Chepinets-Beev", has been working on this program and every year its graduates participate in the tournaments. In addition to the Velingrad team, there are three other clubs in Bulgaria that are included in this program. These are children's and youth teams from Troyan, Sapareva Banya and village. Last week in Velingrad was Mr. Tsvetan Tsenov, who represents the Inter-Campus program for Bulgaria. He met with a representative of the Municipality in the person of Mr. Todor Bozev, Head of the Sport and Tourism Department to clarify some details about the organization and conduct of the tournament. It is now clear that the opening will be at the new stadium, and the matches will be played on the "Calna Banya" field. The visiting teams will be accommodated at the Katerina Hotel. The regulation provides for the division of the participants into two groups of 4 teams, with the winners playing in the final. Fascinating prizes have also been prepared for the top three teams in the tournament.
