This year's edition of the tournament starts on April 24 and will continue until April 28. The place is again BLC "Kamena". Within the five competition days will be held 5 separate tournaments: two team - "Athletic" and "Delta Plus", two double - "Petrofer" and "Kamena" and the individual "Tempo Newspaper". Expectations are for a number of participants, greater than the 80 doubles that came in February for the Republican Championship. The main sponsors of the event are the Velingrad companies "Atletik" and "Petrofer-Bulgaria" plus the Plovdiv printing house "Delta plus - Dimitrov i sie". The efforts to validate the tournament were also joined by: Beev Gas, Rodopi Tourist ET, Zdravets Hotel, Olympic Hotel and Chinarite Restaurant, which gives a 10% discount for all participants. The cups for the winners this year are also the work of Georgi Nikolov.
Judges of the tournament will be Zheko Zhekov, Dimitar Georgiev and Asen Zlatkov. For the first time in Velingrad will be applied the scheme "knockout" in the team tournament "Athletic", which is too attractive and does not allow match fixing.
