On the occasion of the great Muslim holiday of Kurban Bayryam on behalf of the MRF, a donation was made for 3 municipal hospitals and 4 kindergartens. Celebration of the holiday is always associated with a gift to help the poor and sick. This year's organization was the municipal and urban structure of DPS - Velingrad. In 2004 in a similar way was noted Kurban Bayryam in the yard of the hospital in Pazardzhik.
On the morning of January 20, 4 calves were slaughtered in the backyard of the hospital in Velingrad according to custom. The meat was distributed to hospitals in Velingrad, Peshtera, Pazardzhik, whose managers Dr. Yordanka Savova, Dr. Paun Nachkov and Dr. Petko Mitev personally attended the ceremony. A donation was made for the four kindergartens in the municipality of Rakitovo, whose principals also respected the holiday.
For the celebration of Kurban Bayryam in Velingrad gathered the Deputy Governor Yumer Hamza, the Head of the Regional Forest Management Mehmed Veliat, the former Grand Mufti and current Rector of the Higher Islamic Institute Mustafa Hadzhi, the Director of the Regional Fund Agriculture Aneta Popova, the Regional Chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms Ahmed Hadzhiyski. Attended by the interim mayor of Velingrad Tanya Goncheva and the chairman of the Municipal Council Nedzhat Kehayov, the mayor of Rakitovo Dimitar Andonov and the chairman of the Municipal Council Yusein Seydev, the deputy mayor of Zahra Ali Cave, the entire local elite of DPS.
To congratulate for the holiday came municipal councilors and political leaders, as well as candidate mayor Atanas Vodev.
