Born 1944. in Velingrad. Higher education in physics. Family, with two children. Work activity: teacher, school principal, in the management structures of education at county and municipal level. Member of Parliament in the 37th National Assembly. Two-term municipal councillor, head of the BSP group.
1. The experience gained gives me the confidence that I will be able to cope successfully with the responsibilities of the position. I have the support of parties and movements from the left political spectrum. I have participated in the development of the coalition management program and I am ready to organize the activities for its implementation.
2. The direction of development of the municipality as a resort, tourist and balneological center is correct, it is determined by the natural resources, not by the municipal administrations. However, the pace of development is slow, the lag is serious. Troyan municipality is similar in population, territory and assets, and is located on the 15th mass among municipalities by index of human development. Data is UN 2002. Conclusions are self-imposed.
3. During his term, the current Municipal Council made a number of unpopular decisions, many of them against the interests of the citizens of the municipality. A majority is formed not on political but primarily on economic grounds. Public confidence in the municipality's legislature dropped significantly. I expect the new composition of the OS to regain people's trust through decisions in the public interest.
4. The reasonable balance between municipal and private property must be sought and found. The municipality should not deprive itself, much less give away, its profitable sites such as the Cooperative Market, the Central Beach and VKTV. Concessions are only possible with well-protected municipal interests in financial terms.
5. I don't share the idea of advertising the management team before actually winning the election. In principle, it will not be closed only within the coalition. Our municipality has enough educated and skilled people with whom to ensure responsible and effective municipal governance.
