Four gold medals were won by the competitors of the Impulse Dance Club at the Open Championship in Vienna, Austria, between 19 and 21 November.
The big winners this time were Hristo Grcchi and Diana Luchkova, who brought to Impulse and Bulgaria three gold medals in the age group up to 11. The winners of a total of nine first places from international tournaments defeated their competition without fail, winning first places in all three disciplines: Latin American dances, standard dances and in the combination. The fourth gold medal of this tournament was won by Georgi Mihov and Dorina Stoyanova in Latin American dances in the junior age group (up to 13 years old). Impulse coach Petar Milchev said that he was pleasantly surprised by this medal, as the pair had been training together for only three months and this was their first participation in a major tournament. In the same final another pair of "Impulse" Spas Tsanov - Elena Buchkova took 6th place.
In the categories up to and over 19 years old Evgeni Popov and Gergana Kasapska took places in the middle of the standings, which moves them forward in the world rankings and are already among the 350 best couples in the world.
In children, Impulse was represented by two pairs: Teodor Zlatarev - Vesela Dimova and Georgi Ganev - Veronika Gadzheva, who reached the semifinal. This is the third consecutive and most successful participation of the "Impulse" of the Open Championship of Austria. More than 700 couples from 22 countries took part in it. In addition to our sports dance club, Bulgaria was represented by clubs from Sofia, Varna and Burgas. The success of Hristo and Gergana was honored with congratulatory telegrams from the Bulgarian Sports Dance Federation, as well as from all major clubs in the country.
By the end of the year, there are no appearances in the sports calendar of Impulse, with only coach Petar Milchev in December judging an international tournament in Croatia. In January, a seminar is scheduled to take place in Velingrad with the participation of the champion of Slovenia and the 8th in the world rankings Domen Krapets.
